What is a baby dedication?
A baby dedication is a public ceremony symbolizing parents’ commitment to raise their child knowing the Lord. The congregation also commits to help guide the child in the ways of God and to show him or her the joy of the love of Jesus. What to expect?
What to expect?
In a baby dedication the legal guardians of the child publicly declare their intentions to raise their child knowing the Lord, to dedicate the child’s life and purpose to God, and to continuously seek God’s wisdom to guide their family. During the service the congregation is charged to also care for the child and represent Christ to him or her. In this way the child’s upbringing is dedicated to the Lord both by their guardians and through the church family. You will receive a keepsake certificate commemorating the dedication ceremony.
